Learning the alphabet is essential for any language student. However, too many English students still make pronunciation mistakes well into intermediate level (especially with those pesky vowel sounds!) Frequent practice helps to eliminate those errors, but how can you make that fun?
Drilling the pronunciation of each letter is effective, but quickly gets mind-numbingly boring for both you and your class. The key is to mix things up with a range of different games and activities, and to help students practise without even realising it.
Here’s a list of EFL / ESL games, activities, projects and conversation ideas to help you do just that.
